El Palmar is a small coastal village with a beautiful unspoilt virgin beach, set in the province of Cadiz.

An Andalucian gem!

It is the perfect place to kick back and relax….

Surrounded by beautiful Andalucian countryside makes it a fantastic base for sightseeing or sunbathing.

From here you can visit Cape Trafalgar, Canos De Meca, Vejer de la Frontera, Conil de La Frontera, Bologna, Tarifa, Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz or even Sevilla.

Enjoy the Flamenco, Bullfighting or Tuna fishing ( The Almadraba ) which is still very much part of Andalucian life.

The village is spread along the natural beach front which boasts numerous bars and restaurants, Surf shops including surf-hire.  It is a favourite place for the Spanish to holiday and in the winter the place is the main surf break in the area, when those Atlantic swells hit the Costa De La Luz making it a popular destination for local and International Surfers alike.

The village has 3 small supermarkets, 2 Butchers a tobacconist, Chemist, Fishmonger  and various surf shops as well as a couple of  hippy markets.

There is free live music in most of the bars and in the summer there are even some chiriguitos ( beach bars) with thatched roofs where you can eat, drink, listen to great sounds, all while enjoying the sun!  Just Perfect….

And for those of you who are more energetic you can enjoy Horse-riding, Surfing, Mountain biking, Kite surfing, Go-Karting, Padel Tennis and much more, you can also fly over the coastline on a Paramotor.

As El Palmar is a rural location a car is advisable.

I stayed two months at Lisa's place and I really loved it. It felt immediately like home. Good WiFi enabled me to work and the close proximity to the beautiful beach made it easy to take a break and surf. The only minor downside was a distinct odor of the warm water, which made me shower cold. Overall a really great experience and I will definitely come back!

It’s a beautiful place, perfect location almost on the beach - but the neighbours can be a bid noisy at times. When we stayed here the water also smelled foul and we only used the outdoor shower in the garden. Some of the furniture also needs replacement.

What a fabulous place. Super private, great size and a very well equipped kitchen too. And also very close to the beach indeed. We’ll be back I’m sure! And Lisa was a great host.

We had a great time at Lisa's house. Everything is lovingly decorated and the location, right on the surf beach, couldn't be better. Enquiries were answered quickly and helpfully. We will be back!

La Gitana is an amazing place! The private garden and the veranda make this place incredibly pretty 🙂 The interior of the apartement is also really confortabel and nicely decorated. The location is excellent!

A really cute and quite space in the center of vivid El Palmar. The apartment ist small nur contains everything one needs. The terrace with the lovely garden is really beautiful!
